Horse Rescue Information

Horses like Taxi are in need of being rescued. We have a new arrival (a rescue) coming in the weekend of Nov 8/9th 2008. We have 23 additional horses besides the list below that were surrendered in Janesville. Click on SHER  logo and read about the 30 rescued horse, burros, donkeys, minis, and mules. Seven have been either adopted or fostered between Stoughton and Janesville. We will soon have a blog for new adopters and fosters so they can learn what experience has taught us from these wonderful horses and what care and consideration we need to be thinking about to help us in our journey.

Mama and her healthy foal - they are located at the Spirit Horse Equine Rescue out of Janesville, Wisconsin ready for adoption.  Mama ties and loads in trailer. She is very sweet and so is baby !   She was basically a wild horse as she had never been haltered, wormed, vaccinated, trimmed, etc. She was a survivor in a herd of 30 horses, mules, donkeys, minis, and ponies. y    Regarding the photos above and to the left: 3 yr old black mini and her 12 year old mother taken in on 11/15/08. Both have had their teeth floated and feet trimmed by vet (they were in HORRIBLE shape) They are now ready to be adopted to a new home thru spirithorseequinerescue and pregnant sorrel mini due any day.
